Does the subscription plan include all the Odoo | OpenERP videos?
Yes! The subscription plan allows you access to all the vidoes that are currently available as well as any new videos that are released while you are still subscribed. When you see a price on some of the videos, that is for those who wish to purchase just that single video and are not interested in the full subscription. Naturally once your subscription runs out, then you will no longer be able to view the videos.
How long does it take to get access once I pay for the videos?
Many times it is a matter of minutes and we are alerted in multiple ways when a purchase for a subscription or individual videos is confirmed through PayPal. You will then receive an email with your subscription details. Unfortuantely there are times when it may take up to 24 hours for your subscription to be processed and for you to receive your login information.
Are all the videos for Odoo | OpenERP version 8?
All of the videos except for OpenERP Fundamentals Volume 1 & 2 are compatible or specifically designed for OpenERP 8. OpenERP Developer Training Volume 1 & 2 are compatible with both version 7 and version 8 of OpenERP and contain important developer concepts that are valuable for both versions. Additional videos such as the Odoo version 8 API video demonstrate specific Odoo 8 features.
Are you still going to do videos for Odoo | OpenERP 7?
At this time we have no plans to produce additional videos for Odoo version 7. We believe that version 8 has dramatically taken Odoo to the next level and there are so many applications and great videos that can be produced to cover those features that going back and doing videos on version 7 is not a priority. That said, if you are a subscriber and have a specific Odoo 7 problem that you believe would help the Odoo community as a whole and be a great addition to the growing library... please feel free to make a suggestion. Our goal is to be the #1 source of quality Odoo video training and workshops.
It has been more than 24 hours and I have not received my login for my subscription or video purchase. What do I do?
First off, please don't panic. If it has been 24 hours and your PayPal payment has been confirmed, then there is a good possibility that the email has been caught up in your spam filter or junk mail. Check your spam filter.Then, please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your list of trusted email addresses so you can be guaranteed to receive an email. If you have Hotmail, then it is actually very likely that the email will be blocked and we always send out a duplicate email from an alternative account. Please understand that legitimate emails get caught in spam filters all the time and the only sure way to avoid that is add the email@example.com to your 'safe' email address list.
What is the release schedule for new videos?
We are committed to adding new videos each and every week. At minimum we will add one technical/developer related video and one functional/usability related video. Always we will be listening to our subscribers and are eager to create videos that solve real world business problems you maybe facing with Odoo.
Can I cancel at any time... and still have my subscription active and view videos until it expires?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time while still continuing to watch and view videos until the final day the subscription is active. We do ask that you not cancel the subscription within the first 48 hours so we can be confident the purchase was intentional and the cancellation is not an attempt to cancel the payment entirely. Also, as long as you cancel before the renewel date, then you will not get billed again for the subscription. As we are committed to adding new videos every week and are taking subscriber suggestions for additional videos, we hope you will find the subscription a greater and greater value as time goes on.
How do I view and watch the videos once I have subscribed?
Once the payment is verified and we have been notified by PayPal you will receive an email with login instructions. At that point you can simply use the sign in option at the top right corner of the website to log in and view the videos any time you wish. Note that the website will function exactly the same and you will browse the videos the exact same way as you do as a guest... but as a subscriber, instead of the picture of the video you will get a viewer that allows you to view the entire video.
Can I download the videos instead of watching them in the viewer?
Yes. But these are 720p videos and take a great deal of time to download. It is far more faster to just hit the play button and start watching. We do ask that you only take this option if you are having difficulty with the player and need it local to use your own video viewer. The reason is simple... when you add up all the videos it is many many gigabytes and the viewer is more efficient at streaming the video. The player has been tested on iOS tablets and Android phones as well as PC's... Please let us know if you have problems with the viewer as we want to make that the primary method for viewing the videos whenever possible.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Because the payment and subscription payment is handled entirely through PayPal, you cancel your subscription through PayPal. The only information that we keep in Odoo is your email address, the name assigned to the account and the password we give you.
Can I request videos on a specific subject?
Certainly, and in fact we strongly encourage you to make suggestions for future videos. Odoo has many applications and often times many options and configurations for each application. Our goal is to be the #1 provider of quality Odoo videos, training materials, and workshops that are business centered and designed to solve real world problems.
